So it's really important to drink as much water as you can if you are suffering from acne because it helps in getting the hormonal balance right. The exact amount of water needed for human depends upon a number of things. Generally, 3 liters of water is enough per day but in summer it may move to 4 liters. Similarly, your lifestyle can also have a direct effect on your water requirement.

If you spend most of your time doing physical activities, you should definitely take more water as compared to someone else who spends most of his time sitting in office. As lack of water in human body may lead to hormonal imbalance that may cause acne, so it is really important for you to workout the water that is required for you to take daily.

There is a common myth that washing your face continuously can improve acne. People usually say this because they think that acne is due to dirt so washing your face continuously not only gets rid of dirt but also acne.

Washing your face takes sebum off and it makes your skin less oily so less shiny. So pimples become less prominent. In this way, washing your face can make your face look better. But within half an hour, the sebaceous glands underneath the skin start producing sebum again, so the pimples become prominent again.

So we can say that washing your face can have a good effect on your skin for some time but in the long run, it does not improves acne. In fact, if you wash your face continuously, your acne might get worse because the more you wash your face, the more sebum the sebaceous glands would produce.
